8 Times WWE Completely Failed Dolph Ziggler
3. Booking Sting To Overshadow His Big Moment
Sting's physical WWE debut gave Survivor Series 2014 a historic moment fans would be talking about for years. Sadly, it also made the WCW icon a pawn in the never-ending saga of The Authority and completely overshadowed Dolph Ziggler's own story in one fell swoop. Harsh? Maybe, but analysing what happened next makes it true.
Look at WrestleMania 31 as an isolated case. Sting faced Triple H in a marquee match that went close to 20 minutes, whereas Dolph was just another name used to fill out the numbers in an Intercontinental Title Ladder Match he had no real hopes of winning. In essence, his 'Sole Survivor' win the previous November counted for absolutely nothing.
It's hard to shake the feeling that Ziggler was just in the right place at the right time come Survivor Series. He was even dragged on top of an unconscious Seth Rollins by Sting, as if it wasn't enough that WWE had booked someone else to scoop up all the attention in what should have been a massive moment in Dolph's career.
