8 Times WWE Failed To Make New Stars In 2015

6. The Entire WWE Title Reign Of Seth Rollins

Can anyone reading this name a more incompetently, ineffectually and impotently booked WWE champion than Seth Rollins? When Rollins made his entrance at WrestleMania 31 and ran down to the ring to cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase, the entire stadium exploded with cheers despite the fact that he was one of the most despised heels on the roster. That was a reward pop for all Seth€™s hard work since being called up to the main roster. Everything was set for him to have an epic title reign as the despicable jerk that could still get it done in the ring, a man begrudgingly respected by both fans and opponents. Instead, what we got was a snivelling weasel that was terrified of everyone and took a backseat to Triple H and Stephanie who continuously scolded him like disappointed parents. How is that a formula for success? Forgetting the fact that he€™s a heel and isn€™t supposed to be cheered, the World Champ should at least be viewed as a threat and a legitimate star while holding the promotion's most prestigious title. Instead, the booking went out of its way to portray Rollins as a loser who couldn€™t accomplish anything on his own without Mommy, Daddy and even Uncle Kane to bail him out. It was pathetic and did unspeakable damage to a title reign that could and should have been memorable for WWE, but instead will go down as a magnificent failure. It€™s a shame because Seth Rollins is one of the most gifted performers in the world and absolutely deserved better than being painted as an inept jabroni.
