In late 2015, Seth Rollins suffered a devastating injury to his knee, forcing him to relinquish his WWE Championship. After spending six months on the shelf, he sought to retain the title he never lost, so he challenged then-WWE Champion Roman Reigns to a match at 2016's Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

During this match, Rollins attempted a Sunset Flip Powerbomb, the same move that tore just about every ligament in his knee. Reigns, hoping to prevent another injury to his real-life friend, held onto Rollins' leg as he flipped over him. This allowed Rollins to lower his feet to the mat in a slower, more controlled manner.

Why Rollins chose to perform the move after it ripped his knee to smithereens is unclear, but cheers to Reigns for helping him do it more safely.
