8 UFC Stars Set To Dominate 2020

6. Kamaru Usman

Right now, few fighters are riding as high as Kamaru Usman - not least in how the current UFC Welterweight Champion finally shut Colby Covington's mouth at December's UFC 245 - and 2020 could be another landmark year for the fighter.

What's most exciting for MMA fans, is the fact that one clear and obvious fight that needs to happen in 2020 is Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal.

In addition to beating Covington, The Nigerian Nightmare's prior fight saw him defeat Tyron Woodley to become UFC Welterweight Champion. A rematch against Woodley seems a sensible option at some point in 2020, then the next logical move would be to match up Usman and Masvidal - particularly with Gamebred currently being the #3 ranked welterweight contender behind Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley.

Whether he's successful in such fights or not, 2020 is guaranteed to be full of big fights, big paydays, and greater exposure for Kamaru Usman. And currently in the midst of 15 wins on the bounce, it would take a brave soul to bet against Usman continuing his dominance for the foreseeable future.
