Another former NXT Jobber who got his character after a year of making everyone else look better. And what a character. The selfie-obsessed male model is the very antithesis of a professional wrestler. Small, skinny, vain, effeminate. He should be the most hated wrestler on NXT. And yet he is one of the most loved. The narcissist character of course, is nothing new. Originated by Gorgeous George and carried on by Ravishing Rick Rude, Lex Luger, and Dashing Cody Rhodes among others, the gimmick has become something of a cliche. But it has evolved with the times, as Tyler is obsessed with taking selfies rather than examining his reflection in a mirror. Entering the ring wearing ridiculous furs and refusing to get hit in the face, Breeze has all the trademarks of a narcissist heel, but remarkably fans have responded to the character with overwhelming cheers. Of course Breeze isn't the first self obsessed, male model wrestler to sing his own theme song ...
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
