8 Ups & 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Apr 22)

1. Out Of Her Depth

Alicia Fox Becky Lynch

Was this the worst Becky Lynch match ever? Quite possibly.

'The Man's' clash with Alicia Fox was a horrendous dud of a bout that didn't even have the decency to descend to Sharmell vs. Jenna Morasca levels of banter, with Lynch's opponent looking more out of depth than at any other point in her career. Fox has been a professional wrestler for 13 years. Read that again. THIRTEEN YEARS, yet there are Performance Center rookies with better instincts, greater fluidity, and less of a chaos factor.

An awkward, clunky battle "peaked" when Fox made a meal of a headscissor spot. At one point in the f*ck-up, it looked like she was going to TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVE Becky into the mat, but she opted for a straightforward head-drop instead. Horrible stuff, and we should be thankful that Lynch isn't injured.

That it took Becky eight minutes to put an enhancement talent away is terrible booking, too. Isn't this 'The Man?' Isn't this 'Becky 2 Belts?' Isn't this your WrestleMania headliner? If the answer to even one of these questions is "yes," then what does it say about her if she can't put Alicia bleeding Fox away in less than two minutes?

What a shambles.
