Ups...

8. Lynch Vs. Evans Is... Actually Good?

It's hard not to be cynical about the Lacey Evans vs. Becky Lynch feud. The challenger lacks credibility and seasoning, having been promoted from NXT way ahead of schedule, and her intended Royal Rumble showcase spot was an unqualified disaster as she slipped over twice while attempting rudimental wrestling manoeuvres. That she has spent the past few months strutting down the ramp and doing everything but engaging in combat doesn't help either.

Lacey's presentation so far? Terrible. This feud so far, though? Far from terrible.

It's not exactly riveting content, but Lynch vs. Evans is fine. It's okay. It's solid. It lets Becky tap into one of her character's strongest aspects as she rages against "bleach blondes who have curried favours from management," and Lacey attempting to educate Lynch on "what it means to be a lady" is getting her character across. For now, it's working, and Evans leaving Becky lying post-Fox victory makes the challenger look like less of a doofus.

Now watch it all fall to pieces when they have to wrestle.
