8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (18 Oct)

1. Heal Up, Hangman

Hangman Page concussion
AEW

Best wishes to 'Hangman' Adam Page, who was stretchered out of the arena after suffering a concussion in his match with Jon Moxley.

Their AEW World Title match was very good and trending towards greatness when the accident happened. This is of secondary importance, though. What matters most is that a young man with a young family now faces an indefinite spell on the sidelines, having been knocked stiff in one of the most worrying scenes this show has ever had to broadcast.

AEW has issued a statement clarifying that Page was taken to a trauma centre following the incident. While he has been discharged, he remains in the company's concussion protocol.

This was nobody's fault, but stands as an unfortunate, troubling reminder of the dangers inherent in this sport. The team, including referee Paul Turner and Dr. Michael Sampson, deserve credit for their swift, decisive response, which, as Chris Nowinski put it, "gives us the best chance for a good outcome."

Again, Hangman is what matters most here. May his recovery go well.
