8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite: The Crossroads (Mar 3)

4. Press Conference Ends In Violence

These gimmicky Inner Circle talking segments can occasionally feel hokey, but last night's Press Conference was a roaring success that demanded popcorn by the end, as The Young Bucks erupted Chris Jericho's crew ahead of Revolution.

It was a familiar format, with several guests posing questions to Jericho and MJF. Among them were a couple of Barstool Sports pundits, the returning Eric Bischoff, and podfather Conrad Thompson, whom Maxwell called "turkey t*ts." Tremendous pop.

Bischoff's line of questioning infuriated Jericho in particular. He lost it when the ex-WCW man suggested Le Champion had made one of his dumbest decisions ever by motivating the Bucks through his and MJF's attack on Papa Buck, with the Jacksons soon joining the Inner Circle in the ring. A shaky Matt Jackson promo followed, but it didn't matter: the aftermath was so wild and explosive that it more than compensated for any shortcomings, closing with Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows helping the Bucks put Santana and Ortiz through tables.

Matt flew from the stage while Nick came off the entrance tunnel. Standard.

AEW has done a good job of heating this feud up ahead of the pay-per-view match, and this segment delivered big. Sunday's match should hopefully be a crazy brawl.
