8 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Slammiversary 2019

1. Sp... Gore!

While the World Championship match was great, the aftermath wasn't.

Furious at being unable to lift the gold, Michael Elgin whacked Brian Cage with the title belt, then grabbed commentator Don Callis. Before Elgin could do any sort of harm to the defenceless Callis, a masked man ran in through the crowd, and speared Elgin out of his boots. Well, not technically a spear, but rather a Gore.

Josh Mathews was unbearable during this segment. The man was quite clearly Rhino/Rhyno, depending on how he wants to spell it in Impact, so why did he even start to act like it could've been someone else? Who else does a spear like that, and then does the exact taunt after it?

By having the 'War Machine' intervene during this particular segment, let's just hope it doesn't mean he's planning to go after the World Championship further down the line. That's something we shouldn't have to suffer.
