8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (6 April)

7. Yuta The Shooter

Blackpool Combat Club
AEW

The elevation of Wheeler Yuta continued last night, with the Blackpool Combat Club and Best Friends once again playing tug of war for the new ROH Pure Champion's soul.

William Regal, Bryan Danielson, and Jon Moxley were backstage, with Regal calling Mox the "hardest man of all to impress" ahead of the former AEW Champion's Rampage match with Yuta. Later, Chuck Taylor told his charge that he loved him, and Yuta could become the wrestler he wants to be with them, before Trent Beretta spat that he was no more than a scumbag who could learn something from the guys he is trying to turn his back on.

A measured storyline that's doing a great job of incorporating multiple parties (and their contrasting personalities and goals) is getting Yuta over. If his Rampage match is as good as the spoilers suggest, this will be accelerated come Friday.
