8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Feb 17)

6. Eddie's Demons

Eddie Kingston
AEW

A typically raw, believable promo from Eddie Kingston (flanked by his Family) preceded the match with Jon Moxley, Rey Fenix, and Lance Archer, reminding the audience that the Mad King is amongst the best talkers in the game.

Short, simple, and to the point, this hit the mark nonetheless. Kingston had three demons to vanquish, and he couldn't get rid of any of them with alcohol, pills, or women. Archer had been bothering him since All Out's Casino Battle Royale, Fenix was a waste of space he never wanted in the Family in the first place, and Moxley, his old friend, was the demon he needed to shed the most. Asking for the main event was his way of doing that.

It's a shame that King hasn't been able to let rip like this as often since the Moxley feud concluded. He's one of the best to do it. Given him a spot like this every week, even if it's only for a minute or so.
