8 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (2 Sep)
1. An Overlong Conclusion
If last night's six-person tag match wasn't the culmination of the Taylor Wilde vs. Tenille Dashwood story, then what is IMPACT seriously thinking? The feud has been stumbling along the past few weeks, delivering only one good match - that being Wilde vs. Kaleb With A K - while the rest of the rivalry has been mundane at best.
Taylor, Jordynne Grace, and Rachael Ellering vs. Tenille, Kaleb, and Madison Rayne wasn't a terrible match per se, but there wasn't enough substance to justify this being an Up. The early comedic exchanges involving Kaleb were to be expected in the Attitude Era, while Tenille entering the ring to prevent Jordynne from making a tag felt too rehearsed. It didn't feel natural in any way. The ending stage, which saw Rayne and Dashwood cling on to Kaleb as Wilde attempted a German suplex, went on for too long to be the actual match finish. Grace and Ellering took an age to fix this situation.
Given the manner in which Taylor celebrated post-match with Jordynne and Rachael, the feud seems to have reached its conclusion, as the Influence departed without any fuss. All involved now require something major in the aftermath to rid the taste of this needless story.
