8 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 10)

1. Any Bey Of The Week

Chris Bey has to be up for consideration when you talk about today's generation of great wrestlers. Just last week, he had a sensational match with Trey Miguel, and now he's done the same, if not better, with Eddie Edwards. 'The Ultimate Finesser' simply never fails to amaze.

As expected, it was a fast-paced affair, with Bey's snappy in-ring work matching perfectly with Eddie's hard-hitting strikes. There wasn't a single moment to catch your breath watching this one, which was made that extra bit more intriguing by the former Finesse Division Champion calculating a plan with Sami Callihan beforehand. Even the ending to the bout was a blink and you'll miss it scenario, with Eddie dodging 'The Ultimate Finesser's' Triple C cutter, and pinning him as simple as that.

It wasn't just the match that was perfect, though, as Bey distracted Eddie with a steel chair post-match, long enough for Sami Callihan to magically appear, baseball bat in hand as he prepared to obliterate Swann's eye. Cue run-ins from Rich Swann, Ken Shamrock, and The Rascalz, and it all added together perfectly. Seeing Bey, Callihan, and Shamrock standing together at the end of the segment made for a beautiful visual. Despite being considerably less experienced than his two comrades, Bey didn't look at all odd next to two former World Champions.

If this is the start of Sami Callihan creating a supergroup within Impact Wrestling, then it could be excellent. 'The Draw' only just became a singles wrestler this year after ditching oVe, and while he can hang on his own, he works better when surrounded by a group of cronies. He already has Ken Shamrock, he was in cahoots with Eric Young last week, and now Chris Bey here. It could be Impact's answer to The Hurt Business if done correctly.
