8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (28 Nov - Review)

1. All Hail The Bloodline And Everything They Touch

There really is no hotter storyline in WWE right now than the soap opera that is the Bloodline and all their travails. As a result, anything that gets sucked into their vortex automatically becomes gold.

Sami Zayn burying the hatchet with Jey Uso – with Jey eschewing a handshake for a hug – was a fantastic little moment, but then they elevated it with Jimmy Uso joining in. And then they went for broke by trying to get the stoic Solo Sikoa to join the group hug. Fans ate it up, with this writer howling at the TV.

But Kevin Owens broke up the era of good feelings and played his character perfectly, talking about how he wasn’t upset with Sami for betraying him, because KO had turned on Zayn so many times during the past 20 years. (It’s so incredible when wrestlers know their characters and don’t betray them.) Rather, he was just done with Sami and wanted nothing to do with him.

Suddenly, Zayn/Owens felt even more interesting with both men seemingly apathetic, which somehow is more realistic and will make it more believable when they finally come back together. Owens even gave a wink to it by pointing out that Zayn will never be blood with the Bloodline.

Just fantastic stuff that had you smiling, laughing, nodding along and captivated by it all.
