8 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 22)

3. Callis And Omega's Holiday Message

Don Callis and Kenny Omega's weekly appearances on Impact Wrestling have been great thus far, but this week's simply wasn't required. 'The Invisible Hand' and 'The Cleaner' noted how they, alongside The Golden Sheik, didn't have much money to their name when Omega was a child, but this failed to throw the current AEW World Champion away from his dreams.

Instead, the Aexecutive proclaimed he would one day run the wrestling business. He's achieved his dream. That was the entire purpose of the promo. It was entirely pointless. This easily could have been a Dynamite promo, regardless of if it failed or delivered.

Obviously, something like this is never going to take anything away from the fact Kenny Omega is appearing on Impact programming, but still. The positioning of the segment couldn't have been more off. For such a flat segment, you wouldn't expect to see it be at the tail-end of the show. Here's hoping their next Impact appearance is far better.
