8 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 29)
Ups...
8. Dojo Boys
Wrestling rivalries are always a tad better when personal history between the opposing sides is added into the mix, and that's exactly what we got this week between The Motor City Machine Guns and The Good Brothers.
Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were bantering away backstage with Impact's security team, who they're apparently best buddies with, before Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley entered the fray. The reigning World Tag Team Champions took offence to Anderson calling Shelley his 'young boy', referring to the time they spent together in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Shelley responded by stating he was lifting championships while the former Bullet Club member was still cleaning the bootlaces of Jushin 'Thunder' Liger.
Nothing too spectacular, however, these sorts of segments never need to be over the top. It got its point across in a matter of minutes, which is all you needed from this.
