8 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (June 28)
2. Pure Carnage
It's no secret that the Knockouts Championship Monster's Ball at Slammiversary has the possibility to be Impact's best match of the whole year. Before then, the four ladies involved were featured in a special tag team match this week - Su Yung and Jessicka Havok against Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary. Thankfully, it wasn't just a straight-up tag team match as there was some proper development from all involved.
This had everything it needed to build more hype for that Slammiversary match. Rosemary and Taya argued throughout as they absolutely should have and then when it came to the end of the match, things descended into total chaos, resulting in a double countout draw. Obviously, that wouldn't stop the four involved here though. Steel chairs were being swung into faces and thumbtacks were being dumped across the canvas. Father James Mitchell even had to intervene to stop Yung and Havok from trading blows themselves.
The Monster's Ball was already one of the more hotly anticipated contests on the Slammiversary card, with this match/brawl adding even more hype towards the build. Now, we can only hope the match delivers in every way possible.
