8 Ups & 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Mar 26)

6. A Smart Forfeit

The Usos The New Day

Credit to the writers for coming up with something interesting, novel, and entirely logical as The Usos entered The New Day's gauntlet.

The Bar had just laid waste to Woods and E, driving the latter through a table. Jimmy and Jey initially looked like they wanted to fight, but grabbed a microphone instead, acknowledging that they and The New Day had fought many a battle over the years. Then, Jey said that there's only one guy who deserves to face Bryan at WrestleMania. That man is Kofi Kingston, who has already earned their respect, and as a result, they were going to forfeit their part of the match.

This ruled. It acknowledged history, served the characters, and cut down on runtime. As awesome as it would've been to see another Usos/New Day banger, this wasn't the time or place for it, and we got enough "good wrestling" from The Bar's gauntlet fall anyway. Why not do something creative like this instead?
