2. MSK Booed, But They Retain The Gold

Despite being initially seen as a rousing babyface performance and victory at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, it appears the folks inside of the CWC last night weren't overjoyed at the sight of their new NXT Tag Team Champions - MSK.

They booed the lads. These insanely likeable chaps. The world's gone mad.

The pair's title defence last night against number one contenders Killian Dain and Drake Maverick may have had something to do with it, with that unlikely duo undoubtedly being one of the most adored make-shift pairs in recent NXT history. But that still didn't justify the sheer level of hatred rained down on the high flying twosome.

This odd reaction also took some of the shine off a rather enjoyable in-ring encounter which saw MSK pulling out their usual box of ridiculous tricks, including their beautiful assisted moonsault and a dazzling corkscrew top rope manoeuvre from Wes Lee, and Dain throwing Maverick around the ring like a rag doll.

MSK were able to seal the deal in their first title defence, but judging from this unexpected kick-back from the newly reinstated CWC live crowd, Triple H and co. may need to rethink their strategy with these NXT newbies - for whatever reason, the people weren't ready for the MSK ride and it made for a rather jarring experience all round.

Hopefully a potential feud with Toothless Timmy and Tommaso Ciampa will help rehabilitate the pair going forward...
