8 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE NXT TakeOver: London

7. Emma Developing Her Heel Persona

When Emma returned to NXT earlier this year, it easily could have been considered a demotion. After all, she had reached the main roster, even before Paige debuted. However, considering that she was mostly paired with Santino Marella as a comedy duo, this was probably a blessing in disguise. Since returning to NXT, Emma has worked on a heel character through her partnership with Dana Brooke. It€™s seemingly working, as Emma continues to show more of a vicious side, which really came out during her TakeOver match against Asuka. Emma hit some stiff clotheslines and pulled off a butterfly suplex into the turnbuckle that looked like it really hurt. Her overall demeanor also really lent itself to this heel persona. Even though she lost to the immensely talented and popular Asuka, Emma showed that she is doing a solid job reinventing herself, transforming from a goofy face to a stone-cold villainess.
