Whenever someone issues an open challenge on Raw, especially the Raw after WrestleMania, you know they’re in for it. Someone unexpected is going to answer that challenge.

Monday, New Day issued their ill-fated open challenge, only to have it answered by two-time NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival. Scott Dawson immediately established the duo as the villains by shoving over New Day’s pop-cycle, with Dash Wilder adding a couple stomps. The newcomers overcame their opponents and his Shatter Machine on Xavier Woods for the debut win.

And then, Dash and Dawson dragged Kofi Kingston into the ring and destroyed his knee, in case fans were thinking of cheering for them. It was a perfectly effective debut night for The Revival, and hopefully the start of some success on the main roster.
