8 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 3)

2. It’s True, It’s Damn True!

With former GM Mick Foley fired and commissioner Stephanie McMahon injured, Raw needed someone at the helm. And thankfully, they did not go with Teddy Long.

Making Kurt Angle the new GM was a great move, one that already paid dividends by introducing his often-goofy, aloof persona to a new generation of fans. His exchange with Enzo Amore & Big Cass was classic, and reminiscent of his encounters with another E&C, Edge & Christian. (“That’s not how you spell ‘soft.’ ”)

Hopefully, we’ll see Angle on Raw for a while, and he’ll get to just be himself like this. It could honestly make the show a lot of fun, and it might help elevate a few guys in dealing with a pure entertainer who still looks like he’s on top of his game.
