8 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (August 12)
1. Not What Was Needed
On the heels of a disappointing match and a disappointing SummerSlam, Ricochet looked to rebound on Raw Monday night, but unfortunately, it didn’t all go to plan.
Sure, Ricochet defeated Elias to get back in the win column after losing to AJ Styles in a United States Championship match. But the premise – Ricochet simply told Elias he sucked – was lacking, and the high-flier made no mention of losing last night, which is one of those stupid things WWE does. It could easily be motivation for Ricochet, but instead he ignored it and just bad-mouthed Elias seemingly out of nowhere.
The match itself was fine, but then the finish was Ricochet hitting a diving sunset flip for the pin – but Elias’ shoulders were up. So even getting back in the win column wasn’t clean, as now we’ll presumably get a rematch next week
