8 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 12)
4. Elias Looks Strong In Defeat
Whenever WWE does instantaneous 50/50 booking, you immediately have to cringe.
But Monday, we saw Elias shine throughout his entire segment: before, during and after his match against Bobby Lashley. Elias took Lio Rush to task, feigning a call to Child Protective Services about Lio being a 10-year-old kidnapped and forced to point to Lashley’s muscles.
And then Rush got his revenge, preventing Elias from getting back in the ring, giving Lashley the countout win to be the fifth member of Team Raw at Survivor Series. But that joy didn’t last, as the troubadour attacked Lio and then managed to stay ahead of both Lashley and Rush.
It stinks that Elias won’t be on the Raw squad, but he continued to show growth as a babyface, and fans continued to respond to him throughout the entire segment.
