8 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 23)

1. Rollins Can’t ‘Survive’ Awful Promo

Seriously, who wrote that crap?

Seth Rollins opened Raw talking about how he’s seen a lot in his seven years in WWE, but he never had experienced anything like The Fiend hovering over him after he had been jumped by five guys. Sure, that was a little hokey, but it’s fine, all things considered.

Then, Rollins started talking about how at Hell in a Cell, he’ll do what he’s always done: “survive and prevail.”

Not “seek and destroy.” Not “dig deep and overcome.” “Survive and prevail.”

Because nothing says “I want to rally behind the top champ on Raw” like “survive and prevail.” Compare that to Brock Lesnar’s “beaten, victimized, and conquered” slogan.

Whoever wrote that line should be embarrassed.
