8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 12)

3. Rusev Returns

An entry was being prepared to ask where Rusev had disappeared to when the Bulgarian Brute answered that question in dramatic fashion Monday night.

Rusev raced down to ringside at the climax of the Raw main event between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns, providing enough of a distraction for KO to hit a Pop-Up Powerbomb and win his match. The United States Champion then got in the ring and dismantled Reigns, presumably as payback for interrupting and upsetting the wedding celebration Rusev and Lana were holding in the ring several weeks back.

The return of Rusev should give Roman something to do for Clash of Champions, since he won’t be in the main event. And it provided a plausible ending to the match with Owens that helped both save face.
