Even the biggest “yes man” on the WWE payroll had to acknowledge that last week’s “Old Day” segment was atrocious and should never surface again. It was that bad.

The New Day was clearly hip to that when they asked to roll the footage, then declared they had burned it so we’d never have to see it again. They said it was 5:37 of fans’ lives that they’d never get back. They called it a Dumpster fire. All of that was accurate, and for WWE to come around to just how bad it was so quickly was an impressive dose of self-awareness, something the company isn’t really known for.

Mercifully, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson came out in a much more serious mood than previous weeks, seemingly ditching their OLD FART retirement home shtick, hopefully for good.
