Titus ONeil has a United States Championship match on Sunday, but hes clearly not the story here, just a participant in one.

The real story is Rusev, who jumped Titus before his match and decimated the former football star. The Bulgarian Brute laid down a brutal beating, leaving ONeil passed out on the entrance ramp as he hoisted the U.S. title overhead.

Sure, maybe this is all being done to set things up for Titus to overcome and win his first singles title in WWE. But the company has done a surprisingly good job at rebuilding Rusev into a killer, and it would suck terribly if they flushed that in the name of giving ONeil a title reign right now.

It feels more that Titus is just the bait for Rusev as he continues on his path of distraction.
