8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 1)

6. A Blissful Coronation

Credit where credit is due: Alexa Bliss handled her little coronation segment well, opening Raw with what essentially was a solo promo with a bunch of props – the rest of the women’s division – in the ring.

Bliss ran down Charlotte (calling the Queen dead and declaring she was a goddess), Mickie James (calling Mae Young and Fabulous Moolah her contemporaries), Sasha Banks and Bayley before a pier six brawl broke out. Alexa was smart enough to not criticize Nia Jax, calling her “great” and moving on quickly.

She might have some on-the-job training to do in the ring, but Bliss is perfectly capable of handling herself on the mic, and that deserves kudos when she does that, particularly in a primo spot like opening Raw.
