Wrong. Apparently, standing up for your wife is a heinous act in WWE.

Last week, a little locker room horseplay between Enzo Amore and Big Cass led to a naked Enzo running (figuratively) into Lana, pissing off Rusev. The Bulgarian Brute annihilated Amore. But this week, Enzo got a rematch and launched into a verbal assault against Rusev and Lana, saying that Lana clearly liked seeing him naked and that he would love to stuff her turkey (there was a Thanksgiving analogy).

Rusev followed that up by almost immediately kicking Enzo low for the DQ and walking away. Even Michael Cole and Corey Graves sided with Rusev after Enzo insulted his wife. But count on WWE making the “fun-loving” Enzo and Cass out to be the victims here and Rusev just being a big bully.

Sure, we say we want WWE to have an edge like during the Attitude Era, but in 2016, this kind of “gag” with a wife being an object is a little outdated. To put it plainly, let’s be clear: Rusev and Lana literally have done nothing wrong in this feud, other than Rusev being pissed about Enzo parading around naked and not apologizing for it.

This writer generally likes most of what Enzo and Cass spit on the mic, but this one is coming up empty. Maybe being older and married has mellowed tastes.
