Despite the teases throughout Raw that there was dissension among The Shield, the trio stood together to battle their rivals Monday – but it wasn’t enough.

After Dolph Ziggler did a drive-by run-in to distract Seth Rollins, leading to a Drew McIntyre win, things broke down in a hurry, with everyone running out for a pier six brawl. Dean Ambrose was the last one out, and he didn’t leave anything to speculation, attacking with an axe handle. However, he was overcome and all three Shield members were laid out.

Seeing how dominant The Shield has been as a unit, showing weakness heading into Saturday’s PPV was a pretty smart move. You have the dissension tease and you have the fact that Braun Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre could conceivably get the upper hand.
