“Card subject to change” is a disclaimer that is on just about every wrestling event, often too small to notice. But it can have a huge impact on the event.

Case in point, Evolution is three weeks away, and WWE took two of its matches and changed them, merging them into one. Trish Stratus was slated to face Alexa Bliss, while Lita was scheduled to wrestle Mickie James. But Monday night, Bliss and James suggested teaming up, so Stratus brought out her tag partner (and best friend) Lita.

In reality, this probably makes sense, as Trish and Lita haven’t wrestled real singles matches in 12 years. Putting both of them in singles bouts on PPV might not be the best move, so having them team up might allow them to hide any weak spots. (This is also an argument in favor of Shawn Michaels returning in a tag match after 8 years.)

The match should be an enjoyable mix of nostalgia and storyline, with Bliss being almost a perfect snot-nosed heel who doesn’t respect the Hall-of-Famers. We’ll just have to see how the match itself holds up.
