Battle royals are often death on a PPV. The WrestleMania battle royals have mostly been forgettable messes, and this one risked falling into that category.

Once things whittled down a bit, we got a nice little bout, with several interesting little side parts, such as Asuka and Naomi teaming up on Tamina, Ivory hitting a crossbody on Tamina, and a great underdog bit from Ember Moon. Moon tossed Carmella, Asuka and Tamina, and she battled against both Tamina and Nia Jax as the final three.

We even got the false finish, with Zelina Vega sneaking in and thinking she had eliminated Nia and Ember, only to get press-slammed out of the match. While it wasn’t a memorable match that will be talked about for months, it filled its spot on the card and actually had a nice ending to it.
