8 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (April 20)

1. McIntyre Shows Off

Regardless of the gripes about how Andrade was treated, Raw was all about Drew McIntyre. The WWE Champion opened Raw with a different kind of promo, simply talking in a normal voice directly to the viewers at home, looking right at the camera. It felt different, in a good way.

Then he challenged Seth Rollins to a title match at the Money in the Bank PPV, and fended off an attack from Andrade. Later on, he ran over Angel Garza and took out his running buddies in impressive fashion – including a tope onto all three men. After defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, he needs to look dominant, and he did just that.

Of course, you don’t always want your champ looking invincible, but this is preferable to the champion who gets beaten down week after week and looks like a goof. So we’ll take this.
