8 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (April 20)

3. Goliath Squashes David, Again

Nia Jax Kari Sane

We get it, Nia Jax is big. Really big. Kairi Sane is small and thus stands no chance.

Sane and Jax had a rematch from last week’s Money in the Bank qualifying match, a return bout no one was clamoring to see. And sure enough, it was the same outcome, with Jax selling a knee injury for about 30 seconds before shrugging it off and nailing a Samoan Drop for the win.

Jax is one superstar who would benefit from beating up NXT no-names right now rather than defeating the same main roster wrestler two weeks in a row. But even then, it will get old fast. Nia is big, see? She can squash everyone… until she slips on a banana peel and is defeated and everyone acts all shocked.

Sorry, we’ve seen this happen a dozen times before with Jax getting the Big Show treatment. Unless and until WWE shows us they’ve changed scripts, this isn’t going to earn many positive marks.
