8 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 31

3. The Ultimate Crossover Promotion

Not all crossovers are created equal. While the Terminator looked horribly out of place during Triple H€™s entrance, bringing UFC Women€™s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey out to help her €œFurious 7€ costar the Rock against the Authority was a deliciously perfect WrestleMania moment. That appearance made perfect sense, and it even had some symmetry given Rousey€™s appearance at SummerSlam to watch Stephanie McMahon€™s match against Brie Bella. Stephanie got in Rock€™s face and asked whether he€™d hit a woman, then kicked him out of her ring. The Great One spotted his costar, Rousey, and brought her into the ring, sending fans into a frenzy. The idea of Rousey stepping into a WWE ring has been the subject of much speculation for some time now, but seeing her and Rock squaring off against the Authority €“ and then sending them fleeing €“ was simply unreal. The question isn€™t one of €œWill they?€ but more of €œWhen will they?€ It€™s only a matter of time before Rousey steps into a WWE ring for a match, but whether that happens at SummerSlam, WrestleMania 32 or sometime down the line.
