8 Ways Money In The Bank 2017 Could Shape WWE's Summer

2. The Queen Retakes The Throne

Charlotte has been booked very strongly since joining SmackDown, with her sole loss coming in Backlash’s six-woman tag match (in which she didn’t even take the fall). Switching to Tuesday nights has also seen her transform into a pseudo-babyface, but with her, Naomi, and Becky Lynch’s feud with The Welcoming Committee seemingly over, there’s little reason to believe this will continue.

Charlotte is one of the most effective heels in the company, and pushing her as a face diminishes her act. She’d make a fantastic Ms. Money In The Bank, and if she snatches the briefcase on Sunday, SmackDown can build the division around her over the summer months, particularly if Naomi successfully retains, and Charlotte reverts to her old character.

If the Women’s Title bout takes place after the ladder match, Charlotte could even cash-in her briefcase that very night, immediately establishing her as the show’s alpha female. It’d be a smart move that would give the division some much-needed direction after a messy couple of months, and if they push Charlotte similarly to the way she was booked throughout her Raw run, there’s no reason she can’t elevate the group to new heights.
