3. Bash At The Beach 1996
WWE.comFor historical purposes, this is a must watch for any wrestling fan. It's the night that Hulk Hogan turned heel to form the New World Order and it changed wrestling forever. When Kevin Nash and Scott Hall went up against the WCW team of Sting, Lex Luger and Randy Savage we really didn't know who was going to join them. Hogan was out of WCW for a while doing his TV show, movies and other things, so when he walked down to the ring it popped the crowd huge. Bobby Heenan made the foolish mistake of asking "whose side is he on?" That was a bad move because we're supposed to assume he's there to help the good guys. Instead, he dropped the leg on Randy Savage. The match just ended there without a decision. Then Hogan did the promo with Hall & Nash by his side that set off the NWO to conquer the wrestling world. Amazing moment. One of the best surprises in wrestling history. Don't forget about the opener either. Rey Mysterio and Psychosis had an amazing match in what Mysterio's second month in the company. It was a tremendous athletic showcase. Mysterio could do things nobody else did before. Psychosis may have been his best opponent, so the chemistry was great. You could hear how they won over the crowd too. Tremendous match.
The rest of the matches like Flair vs. Konnan, Malenko vs. Disco Inferno and others were average. Nothing was that bad. By the end of the night, all people talked about was the ending, but make sure you check out Mysterio/Psychosis too.
