8 Wrestlers WWE Must Sign For The New Cruiserweight Division
4. Travis Banks
Little is known of Travis Banks in the context of the worldwide scene - but when a Cruiserweight comes with the Will Ospreay stamp of approval, it won't be long before fans outside of the United Kingdom and New Zealand are familiar with his name.
Like Marty Scurll before him, Banks has legitimate heel credentials. Po-faced and vicious, his grasp of biting body language and sneering facials is a heat generator, something necessary to imbue the nascent division with beyond workrate.
With a lean, hunched physique reminiscent of Davey Richards, Banks would furnish the division with his brutal Strong Style leanings - providing a fascinating counterpoint to the technicality of Jack Gallagher and the flamboyance of TJ Perkins.
He is no slouch in the air, however; his style marries high-flying and stiffness with a devastating array of top turnbuckle-assisted kicks. He also has the improvisational ability to incorporate crowd reaction into his routine - often acknowledging and drawing from their jeers to suffuse his painful-looking chops with more venom, using his opponents as a syphon through which to intensify his antagonistic relationship with the fans.
