8 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Were World Champions

7. R-Truth/Ron 'The Truth' Killings

Yep, Ron 'The Truth' Killings, better known as R-Truth, is a certified former NWA World Heavyweight Champion. After Ken Shamrock announced his imminent departure from the company, Killings beat Ken Shamrock for the belt after interference. Ron Killings would have a relatively strong reign as champion, defending the belt against several notable competitors such as; Curt Hennig, Jerry Lynn, Low Ki and Scott Hall. Ron Killings got over in TNA when he became Ron 'The Truth' Killings, after an angry promo in which he called TNA management racist, because he was given no opportunities as a black man. The name of 'R-Truth' which he'd user later in the WWE is clearly a nod tot his persona. Going forward, Truth would continue to cut these promos, and were the storyline reason as to why he was given an NWA Title shot after his complaints. When given free reign, Killings proved himself charismatic on the mic and was a decent champion whilst holding the belt.
