8 Wrestling Matches That Happened For The First Time Ever In WCPW

3. Matt Hardy Vs. Bully Ray

As two of the most important tag team wrestlers in WWE history, Bully Ray and Matt Hardy have crossed paths countless times. The Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz, and Edge & Christian engaged in a tremendous feud at the turn of the century, with their legendary series of matches raising tag team wrestling to a level of importance it hadn’t experienced in decades.

The duo have shared a ring over 100 times, but they’ve only gone one-on-one on pay-per-view once - at Delete WCPW. It was a pure Attitude Era throwback affair, with bags of crowd interaction and weapon use. The two battered the life out of each other with steel chairs, before Matt attacked Bully with a ladder, but ultimately fell to interference from Adam Pacitti. The WCPW General Manager’s low blow took Hardy out of the game and Bully stole the win with a roll-up, ending the match in just under eight minutes.

Broken Matt eventually had the last laugh, as he and Martin Kirby defeated Bully and The Swords Of Essex to remove Pacitti from his GM position at Loaded 18 the following evening, but Delete WCPW belonged to the former Bubba Ray.
