8 WWE Backstage Powers With Salaries You Won't Believe

8. Vickie Guerrero - $80,000

Not strictly a 'backstage power', Vickie Guerrero is instead contracted as an 'on air talent' who appears in the character of a backstage power. We have decided to include her on this list in order to give some context of the gulf between 'talent' contracts and 'corporate' contracts. By featuring Vickie, you will get some idea at just how much more money the McMahon's are making over their contracted performers. The Wrestling Observer reports that Guerrero's wage as the former 'general manager' of Raw was $80,000. This was in a period where Vickie was hotly used as a character, in addition to being a period in which she was still making royalties off of Eddie Guerrero memorial merchandise. While 80k is a figure that can easily be lived on, it isn't anything like the wage you might have expected for a performer in her role. The pay is only slightly higher than an average middle class job wage, there'll no doubt be Doctors backstage in WWE earning more than that. The fact is, once you figure in road expenses, being a lower card performer in WWE can still be a financially average job. You need to be a legitimate backstage power to make the big bucks...
