8 WWE Booking Steps For Sami Zayn's Heel Run

6. Appealing To Reason

Daniel Bryan re-enters the fold one week after Sami's explanation. As one of the greatest underdog faces in WWE history, he's the ideal man to try and appeal to whatever decency still lives in Zayn, and with Shane still out of the picture, that's exactly what he'll do.

The General Manager realises that Sami hasn't necessarily turned into a bad person overnight. He's understandably frustrated with his position, and has let himself be poisoned by Owens' toxic personality, but perhaps all hope isn't yet lost. Perhaps Zayn can still be reasoned with.

Wrong.

After absorbing a lengthy diatribe from his booker, Zayn will reject everything Bryan says to him, then throw it right back in his face, claiming that as the source of Sami's frustrations, everything is on Daniel's hands.

This will trigger Bryan into throwing a fresh set of babyfaces at Owens and Zayn (someone like The New Day, who can give them a good fight). Sami and KO win, then obliterate their opponents, with Owens' bloodthirsty nature once again reflected in Zayn's actions. For now, it looks very much like the old Sami is dead, and KO couldn't be happier about it.
