8 WWE Stars Sacrificed To Make Roman Reigns Look Strong

4. Kane

Poor Kane. For the last few years the Big Red Monster hasn't had much to hang his hat on. He's had a long and illustrious career, but he will leave us with a few memories and an utterly dominant Royal Rumble record. Kane has eliminated 44 men from the Rumble in total, five clear of the next best (Shawn Michaels) and 13 clear of the next full-time wrestler (Big Show).

Kane's most cherished record was his most eliminations in a single Rumble record, but this was passed over to Reigns in 2014. This was arguably when Roman's popularity was at its highest point, so there was some logic behind it, but two years later it looks like nothing more than an attempt to show how strong Roman Reigns is.

In 2014 Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Nash, The Great Khali, Goldust, El Torito, JBL, Luke Harper, Cesaro, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Sheamus all found themselves thrown over the top by Reigns, as Kane's record went off a cliff.

Kane is also 0-5 when it comes to handicap matches against a partnerless Roman Reigns.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
