2. Bray Wyatt

When The Shield and the Wyatt Family did battle at Elimination Chamber way back in 2014, the quality of their matches had fans everywhere salivating at the eventual one-on-one feuds that would come of it. Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins vs. Luke Harper, erm, Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan? Anyway, the future looked bright. It was clear to all however, that Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt was going to be a big main event feud down the line.

The line didn't go too far however, and in 2015 the two did battle over the summer. It was too much too soon for both men, and having to lose to Reigns (unless Luke Harper was involved) continued Wyatt's streak of giving good promos but generally never winning.

The feud came along at a terrible time, out of a need to swerve fans who figured Reigns winning the Money in the Bank ladder match was a foregone conclusion. They needed a heel to sacrifice to Reigns over the summer, and Bray Wyatt was unfortunately the chosen one.

Wyatt needed a big feud, sure, but with Roman? Anyone but Roman. That took a whole lot of shoehorning.
