It's a New Day, yes it is.

It nearly wasn't for Xavier Woods before he, Big E and Kofi Kingston turned their real-life friendships into a winning on screen formula. Pre-New Day, Woods was toiling on NXT, teaming with R-Truth and scrambling to find anything that'd stop WWE from thinking he was useless. Now, he's a made man.

Though they had issues of their own, E and Kingston weren't in as perilous a situation as their buddy; Big E was always going to be get numerous chances due to his look, and Kofi would've been kept around due to his veteran status. Meanwhile, poor little Xavier might've had to develop his UpUpDownDown gaming channel outside WWE.

Something beautiful happened when he started working with his mates on TV. Suddenly, Woods began showing oodles of personality. He had some creative freedom for the first time, and he used it to his advantage. That led to a record-breaking Tag Title reign and has cemented his status on the roster.
