We hoped in vain that Matt Hardy would be bringing his "Broken" gimmick to WWE when he returned, alongside brother Jeff (not Nero) at WrestleMania earlier this year. Apart from kooky promos, the chance to see Bray Wyatt look relatively sane and some on-location matches, one of the main reasons the idea was appealing was because it guaranteed Matt wouldn't be lost in the shuffle.

Having now reprised his role as one half of the WWE's dare devil tag team, it's unlikely that the 42-year-old will be given the opportunity to have another run at the world title (unless we see him stab Jeff in the back, again).

But Broken Matt can at least console himself with the fact that he already captured the ECW and TNA titles, even if the big one has eluded him.
