8 WWE Veterans That Turned Back The Clock
6. The Undertaker - SummerSlam 2015
Perhaps a little controversial, but this is all about context. Yes, we all love and respect the Deadman (at least I hope we do), but the fact is that over the last few years it's been obvious that the years of injuries and his advancing age have slowed him down somewhat.
Undertaker's last two matches before his showdown with Lesnar at SummerSlam 2015 had been a really underwhelming - yet historic - match with The Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania XXX and a disappointing affair with Bray Wyatt a year later.
Sure, 'Taker's concussion in the former and Bray's supposed ankle knock in the latter can perhaps account for the dip in match quality, but the truth is that there'd been questions about The Phenom's health and fitness for a while. He seemed like a shadow of the performer who had tore the house down with CM Punk at WrestleMania 29 just a couple of years ago.
Hence why expectations were perhaps a little muted going into SummerSlam 2015. Answering his critics, Undertaker wrestled, nay fought, like a man ten or fifteen years his junior with significantly less miles on the clock. He was simply awesome as he went at it hammer and tongs with the most remarkable physical specimen in wrestling today.
Seriously, mad respect to The Undertaker for taking such abuse, including countless German suplexes and an F5 through the announce table. Their rematch inside Hell in a Cell the next month was, in many ways, better, but this was where 'Taker really showed that he still had enough left in the tank for a few more go-arounds.
