Before Roman Reigns finally broke through and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (for more than five minutes) in December, it had been more than four years since the world title changed hands on Raw.

World title changes on free TV are a rare thing these days, so when there’s a world title match, people usually assume that it will either end with the champ retaining, a DQ or some other shenanigans. You almost never expect the challenger to walk out with the belt.

However, there’s always a chance that WWE could want to play up the fact that Raw is live – and point out that Smackdown is too now – and anything can happen, and book a title change. True, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to have Seth Rollins defeat Dean Ambrose in advance of the triple threat title match at Battleground between them and Reigns, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible.

Doubtful though, yes.
